No doubt the beginning of 2020 has not been exactly what people worldwide have been expecting or hoped for.
The COVID-19 outbreak took us by surprise and had so far a severe impact on many sides of our lives including travelling and exploring holiday destinations across the world.
Many of us have already cancelled or rescheduled our vacations, while others are still on hold regarding their holiday plans. But as Socrates said ” The seeking of happiness, is not found on seeking more, but in developing the capacity to enjoy less”.
Although uncertainty is now lying in every single aspect of our life, we still have to find the strength and the positive energy to dream, to look forward to better and carefree days with our loved ones. We can look at the current reality on a different angle, but still focus on the things that matter and give us great pleasure, such as travelling and sharing unique moments with our family and friends.
That is not a privilege, it is our undisputed right to happiness.
Thus, we must keep talking about travel with our friends and family, planning the next escape after everything is over. The reason is that making future travel plans gives us hope and let us dream. And this is all we need at the moment.
Right now we fight to protect this right of ours and very soon life will go back to normal.
So stay home, stay safe and keep in mind that the time that you will enjoy a cocktail on a sandy beach is not far away.
